This leading Local Authority was established in its current form in 1974 following a merger of the city council with neighbouring urban district councils and now exists as the second largest metropolitan Local Authority in England, covering an area of 552 square kilometres.
Currently employing approximately 35,000 people, and with an annual budget of over Ј1,000 million, over 500 different local authority services are currently delivered to a population of over 700,000 residents.

Highways Clerk of Works to work within a West Yorkshire Local Authority. You will be required to work on a series of Highway contracts within the area including a new Link Road project. The position requires you to supervise contractors and therefore you will be required to work outside office working hours.
